Private First Class Cole D. Miller

Just to refresh everyone's memory, as if you didn't know, my little brother Cole is currently in the marines and stationed in NC (Camp Lejeune). If you were on planet earth yesterday, you definitely heard part or hopefully all of President Obama's speech from Camp Lejune regarding the removal of combat troops from Iraq by Aug 2010. Hurray for that! I was lucky enough to be home to watch and was texting back and forth with my brother during the speech. He got to see and hear the President's message up close and personal- AS EVIDENCED IN THE PICTURE BELOW!!!

Look at the top row of marines, directly at the back-top portion of Obama's head, and Cole is the second guy from the center (after Obama's head) with glasses:



Did I forget to mention that Cole was also chosen to drive a truck in the convoy leading President Obama around the base for a tour?? ...I'm such a proud sis... =)


If you've read my blog in the last week, you may remember my bitter message of the news that Cole will be deployed shortly.... We got news last week that Cole was actually assigned to a different unit than he expected. He will not be deployed this April, but within the year he will definitely be shipping out to Afghanistan at some point. So, YAY for now, but we'll keep you posted!!

Gigi's Birthday

This past weekend was a get-together in West Middlesex for Great Grandma Williams' Birthday! We left friday afternoon and made the 6 hour trip to western PA... Surprisingly, Brayden did GREAT on the way there. Here are a couple pics from our time there with family:

Sunday Park Pics

Happy Valentines day to everyone! And a special shout out to my 'rents who celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on Saturday!! MUAH!

They "celebrated" by coming to Dublin to watch Brayden while the "newly weds" went "out on the town." Haha, the previous statement is all in quotes because it's not entirely accurate... Derek and I just went to a mexican place in Doylestown (VERY YUMMY!) but our service was so good, that we were home an hour later! WHOO HOOO!!! We didn't know how to waste time, so we came home and put Brayden to bed! lol, we DID enjoy a few rounds of margaritas, so that made it SOOOOOOO worth it! Thanks again ma & daddy!!

Today we went for a walk to Lake Galena. Here are a couple shots of us playing around... SO CUTE! Video will follow as soon as Derek gets time at work to upload them.

This weekend we decided to take Brayden to one of those indoor activity centers to blow off some steam.... Learned 2 lessons REAL FAST: I need to go on a diet, and NEVER never never should you put a digital camera in your back pocket and proceed to sit/slide/climb, etc. :( needless to say, I broke our digital camera, so I was only able to salvage a few pictures from our time there.

...forgot to mention that we got a new camera the next day, so NO WORRIES!!! The blog won't go long without updates (as long as i keep posting!!)

This was from a few weeks ago when we had a birthday party for the guys in our fam... While the ladies were cooking (and the gentlemen were GABBING) Brayden was entertained by veggie tales!
