Weekend fun

Mr. Blue Eyes...

The Annual Miller Street, Strasburg, yard sale was this Saturday... I had a few things to sell, and so did Natalie and mom, so we got together and ended up making over $250! YAY! =) Pop-pop played with Brayden ALL day at various parks around Strasburg so we could rake in the bucks!

Today was warm and we all know how brayden loves splashing in water.... So today we started out by watering plants:

Then we got out the bucket and some toys...

Then we ended up filling up a large Rubbermade tote with water (because they don't sell pools at walmart!! Well, they have blow up pools and those bigger yard pools, but nothing that would fit on our porch with out popping). Derek improvised and this is what we got! =)

Memorial Day Weekend

Happy memorial day to you all!

We had a picnic at the Miller's today. The day started with a parade thru Strasburg, headed off by the armed forces color guard. (Picture below is of Marines: Cole- American Flag, friend Trevor- blue PA flag, and Brother-in-law Todd)

Brayden sat on great-grandma's lap for the entire parade! I think that is the longest that he has ever sat in one spot for longer than .3 seconds! =)

After the parade, we had some wings, BBQ spare ribs, homemade mac & cheese, etc. SO YUMMY!! Before dessert, we took a walk down to one of the many cemeterys in Strasburg that honor our veterans. (The flag picture at the top is from the cemetery. Each flag represents one of the 4800 soldiers who gave their lives in the Desert Storm & Iraq/Afghanistan wars.)

The guys were pretty whooped after the "long" walk, and took a quick nap on the porch...

it's TRUE! ....#2!!

YAY! We are so excited to share the news that our family is expanding!! Thats right, we're expecting another bundle of joy on Dec. 25th! YES.... Christmas DAY!

Above was the picture that I emailed to my parents with "what do YOU think?" as the subject heading... I got a call an hour later telling me that maybe I should get a "second opinion." haha, I took another test 3 days later with the same result!!

I somehow misplaced the picture of Denise's face as she held a onesie that said "big brother" on the front. I asked her to help me get Brayden ready for bed that evening. She was clueless! hehe...

Today we had an ultrasound to make sure the due date was correct. It was so exciting to see our little "sproutlet" and know the heart is beating! =)

Now for a little update of Brayden! He is a busy boy and definitely keeps me on my toes!! He is climbing EVERYTHING- coffee table, entertainment center, toy box, beds, etc. His favorite thing to do these days is going up and down (and up and down, etc.) the steps. He LOVES just walking around our apartment complex, pushing his lawn mower or waving and saying "hi!" to every car that drives by... Haha, the old ladies just LOVE him!! Brayden has learned to hold our hand while going to the park or in parking lots, which is so adorable!

Hi all! I know I've been slacking on posts... we've been busy and I've been TIRED! =) Last week it rained almost everyday, so thank goodness its been nice this week. Brayden likes to get out in the morning before his nap and after lunch (weather permitting). So here is a quick video of him mowing our parking lot:

This passed weekend Derek and Josh did a triathlon in NJ. It actually turned out to be a nice day (every race Josh and Derek have done since last year it has rained and been pretty cold!) Kristine, Aunt Cindy & Uncle Gary were there too. They took all the picture since my hands were full with Brayden, so you'll have to wait for those! Both guys did well (with Derek coming in first of the 2). Here is my only picture of the race- Derek crossing the finish line!

Sunday was Mother's Day and a very nice one at that! Happy Mother's day to all you moms reading my blog! We met up with my parents at the King of Prussia mall for dinner. It was a great but short visit. This coming weekend we have no plans- i plan to keep it that way! We've been running around for weeks, so we just want to chill out!!
