sorry for the Delay!

Things have been getting pretty nuts with the Gearhart Gang... We are getting ready to move the weekend after Thanksgiving (YES, moving AGAIN while in the midst of "baby-ness!")

Anyway, not many pictures to post for now. Just wanted to remind everyone that if you're in the Lancaster area today (WEDNESDAY, NOV 18th) stop by Franklin and Marshall College's holiday craft show from 4-7PM. Mom and I are showing all our new things (bags/totes, cards, notepads, jewelry, etc.). If you want a sneak peak, check out our other blog: www.debandleslie.blogspot.com

Hope to get you all up today after Thanksgiving and the big move!!
Take care for now.

Way to go Derek!

Just a quick announcement to anyone who may not have heard:

Derek ran the 40th Annual ING New York City Marathon on Sunday. To those who may not know, a marathon is 26.2 miles... (wow!) He has been training for the marathon since January when he found out his name was chosen from a lottery. He was hoping to run with cousin Josh and out of the 5-6 guys to enter the lottery in their group of friends, ONLY Derek was picked! Hundreds of people overall enter the lottery, and Derek was told, your chances are very low to actually get chosen for the few lottery slots! HA!

He started the race off without a hitch. At the 1/2 (about 12 miles) he was on course to finish in his goal time: 3 hours and 10 minutes (the magic time needed to qualify for the Boston marathon) For those who don't do the math quickly, he essentially needed to run a 7:15 minute mile for 26 straight miles!! He ended up averaging a 7:45 minute mile to finish in 3 hours and 22 minutes!! YAY!

Although the original plan was for me to join a friend from church & take a limo to the race, we decided with all the germs out there right now, maybe it was better for me to stay home. It was unfortunate, but I think I was able to track him better from home on the computer!

Anyway, we're waiting on the professional photos to be posted since I wasn't able to catch him. I'll post those when they come. Here are the pictures of his support from home!

Congrats Babe! We're ALL very proud of you!
