4th of July & week @ Nana & Pop-pop's

We visited the Gearharts for the 4th of July weekend, then me & the boys stayed for the following week. I'm going to keep the words short so you can enjoy the pictures!

This is how Brayden started in the pool- white knuckles and scared STIFF

Here is the start of our day at the Erie Zoo. It was SOOOOOOO hot, but Brayden did AWESOME! He loved the gorillas!

It should be mentioned that while it took a few days for Gobie & Brayden to warm up to each other, I think they both did well tolerating each other! ;) Poor Gobie only had to take a sedative ONCE the whole time we were there! (it helped keep his coughing to a minimum when he got excited)



The rest are some pool pictures from the end of the week... Brayden actually started "swimming" and putting his head under water all by himself! I TRIED to post the video, but it must be too long because it won't load!! I'll try to see if I can shorten it or put it on youtube for everyone to see.


This is Brayden saying "wooow wooow!" and "Toh, Toh, Todd's caaa!" which of course can be translated to Uncle Todd's car!

Our First Beach Trip!

We decided last minute to take the boys to the beach and we made out well! The weather was warm, but slightly overcast with a cool breeze, and the water was FANTASTIC! =) Couldn't have asked for better summer beach weather!!

It only takes an hour & 10 to get to a nice family beach in NJ, so we went just for the morning. After a quick trip to Target for a beach umbrella & sunscreen, we were off!

We went to Ocean Grove, NJ first... A nice little beach & town, but on Sundays, the beach doesn't open until 12:30. I wish we would have known that ahead of time!! We already had the boys out and car unpacked when a local stopped & let us know. Back into the car and down the road we headed. We ended up at the next beach south and here are some pictures:


Brayden wasn't too keen on the water, so he stayed busy with his digger & sand pails.




Bryce was unsure of the "gritty" stuff, especially how it TASTED! haha, but he was a good sport...




Brayden found some seashells and is checking them out...
